The University administration decided to convert the centralized admission cell which was functioning under the College Development Council into a permanent directorate “Directorate of Admissions (DoA)” with a view to streamline the entire admission process in 28 departments in the campus and 421 affiliated colleges of the university. The Directorate of Admissions was established by the University in the year 2014 (University order no. 3271/2014/CU dated 31-03-2014) with the main aim of making centralized admissions to various courses offered by the University and its affiliated colleges in a systematic, transparent and student friendly manner, following all reservation rules. The major task of DoA is Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for UG and PG, which offers facility for online submission of single application for admission to various degree and post graduation programmes in multiple colleges affiliated to the University. CAP helps students to submit applications to affiliated colleges of their choice through simple online steps. This hassle-free process is time saving, cost effective and ensures transparency in admission. The mission of DoA is “Fair Admission”. As the first director of newly constituted DoA , I assure that DoA will make all effort to ensure fair, transparent admission to both UG, PG, M.Phil and PhD admissions of Calicut University.
